EXPANDED LAP SWIM ACCESS THIS SUMMER

Dear Friend,

We are excited to share that starting July 1, Asphalt Green members will have access to lap swimming at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC)'s 25-yard pool located at 199 Chambers St., New York, NY.

Please be sure to read all details carefully to ensure a smooth experience while accessing BMCC's pool.

BMCC POOL RENTAL SCHEDULE

Dates: July 1-August 13
Days: Mondays through Thursdays
Hours: 9am-3pm
Lanes Available: 4 x 25 yards for lap swim

BEFORE YOU GO

Please note the following important details to prepare for your visit:

Bring a towel.
Bring your Asphalt Green ID badge and government-issued ID (required for entry).
Bring your own lock to use in the locker rooms.
BMCC facilities do not have a SUITMATE swimsuit dryer or plastic bags on site. Please bring your own plastic or dry bag for your swimsuit post-workout.

CHECK-IN DETAILS FOR EACH VISIT

All Asphalt Green members must enter at 199 Chambers Street, New York, NY 10007.
Use the kiosk in the entrance corridor to check in, or scan the QR code posted on the wall. You are required to have your government-issued ID scanned and submitted.
After you check in, a security officer will grant you access, and you can head to the locker rooms.
The locker rooms give you access to the pool.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Showing your Asphalt Green badge alone will not grant entry.
You must check in each day you plan to use the pool.
This is a college campus, so there will be students in the common areas and hallways. However, the pool is exclusively for Asphalt Green members during the hours listed above.
The fitness center and gymnasium are not available for Asphalt Green members. Please refrain from entering those spaces.
Asphalt Green members are welcome to use the showers in the locker rooms before or after their swim.
We have prepared a video showing you how to reach the locker rooms from the lobby. We encourage you to watch it before arriving, but BMCC staff can assist if you get lost.

POOL USAGE GUIDELINES

This pool is exclusively for members; Day Pass users are not permitted.
Swim caps are required for all swimmers.
The same rules and guidelines that apply to the BPC pool also apply here.
Family Swim is not available at this location.
Lap lanes are 6 feet wide and have a consistent depth of 4 feet throughout.
Swimmers aged 13 and older may use this pool only if they have passed the swim evaluation. They must also bring a valid photo ID and their Asphalt Green membership card.
