JONATHAN PACKLES NAMED TO UNITED STATES JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM
Huge congratulations to Jonathan Packles on being named to the 2027 United States Junior National Team. To be selected for the Team, swimmers must register a top-five long-course meters time in the country for all swimmers ages 18 and under.
Jonathan posted the third-fastest time in both the 100 and 200 Backstrokes and will represent the United States for the season. He now joins an elite list of AGUA alums who have gone on to be Olympic and International medalists, NCAA All-Americans, and more!

We will also host our annual College Recruiting Seminar on Saturday, October 17 at 1pm. The session will include a guide to the college recruiting process and timeline. It will also feature a Q&A with AGUA Alumni currently enrolled to study and swim at Yale University and Washington University in St. Louis.

WELCOME, NEW AGUA COACHES!
Please join us in welcoming Coaches Anisha Menashi and Tim Park to the AGUA Coaching Staff!
Anisha began her swimming journey as a competitive athlete, training under Coach Jeff before continuing her development in Florida. Later, as a swim instructor, Anisha has taught swimmers of various ages and skill levels, helping young athletes develop strong fundamentals, technique, water safety, and confidence in the pool. Outside of swimming, Anisha has built a career in community development and youth education, working directly with children and families through school- and community-based programs.
Coach Tim graduated from Dartmouth College in 2024 as captain of the Swim and Dive Team. He primarily competed in middle-distance freestyle and butterfly events. Tim had the pleasure of swimming for Coach John at New York Sharks in his final year in high school before moving on to Dartmouth. Tim currently works at Man Group, a hedge fund out of its Midtown office. He is excited to bring his love for swimming to AGUA!

AGUA is looking for more Admin Officials and stroke-and-turn judges! Becoming an official is a great way to get involved in your swimmer's life and sport. You will learn the rules of competitive swimming and how meets work.

LOCKER ROOM REMINDERS
As we begin the 2026-2027 AGUA season, we want to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:
Locker rooms are shared spaces at both Asphalt Green's Battery Park City and Upper East Side campuses. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability, and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted inside locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
Only swimmers who are Asphalt Green members are permitted to use the member locker rooms at Asphalt Green. There are no exceptions.
REQUIRED ID CARDS
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
