Congratulations to all of our swimmers on a great start to the 2025-2026 racing season! Our athletes, some for the first time, competed at our home pool to reach new personal best times, qualification standards and more.
Special shoutout to Jeffrey Qian for breaking the AGUA Team Record in the 9-10 Boys 100 Breaststroke. His time of 1:15.60 broke the previous mark from 2018.
The AGUA coaches would also like to thank the following athletes for exemplifying our team values and standing out as R.A.D. Teammates at the meet: Aitana Almandoz, Salvatore Bove, Atticus Fogarty, Jake Kim, Ella Knox, Zuzu Miller, Cooper Plasting, Sloane Solash, William Tong, Arabella Wilson.
Extra congratulations to our first event-winners of the season:

SUPPORT YOUR AGUA COACHES AT THE NYC MARATHON!
Please join us in cheering on AGUA coaches Youngho Kim and Peyton Werner for racing in the upcoming NYC Marathon in support of Asphalt Green on Sunday, November 2.
Their efforts will raise critical funds that will help advance our mission to transform lives and build community through sports, fitness, and play for all.
If you’d like to show support and help Youngho and Peyton reach their personal fundraising goals, we’ve provided their donation links below:
Watching representatives from across the Asphalt Green community come together to showcase the importance of physical activity is a great source of inspiration. Together, we look forward to expanding our reach even further.
OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN THE 2026 SWIM-A-THON PLANNING COMMITTEE
Want to help make a meaningful impact right here in NYC? Consider joining the planning committee for the 2026 Turning the Tide Swim-a-Thon.
This community fundraising event is held annually each spring and supports Asphalt Green’s efforts to provide free swim instruction to local children and families facing financial barriers. We are looking for committee members eager to expand the swim-a-thon each year and deepen its impact.
As we kick off the 2025-2026 AGUA season, we want to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:
Locker rooms are shared spaces at both BPC & UES. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted to be taken inside the locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
Only swimmers who are members of Asphalt Green are permitted to use the member locker rooms at Asphalt Green. There are no exceptions.
REQUIRED ID CARDS
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
