TEAM UPDATES

CONGRATS, COACH DAVID, WILL & YAHRO!

A big congratulations to AGUA Head Coach and Asphalt Green Senior Director of Aquatics, David Rodriguez, along with AGUA team members, Will Rankin and Yahro Piqué, on your recent Metropolitan Swimming appointments!

Coach David was re-elected to his second term as the General Chair of Metropolitan Swimming. In this role, Coach David will continue to help create and lead a strategic view for the future of our local swimming committee for the next two years. He will play a critical role in educating swimmers and coaches, organizing and improving the efficiency of swim meets, supporting teams, and more.

Will was voted in as the Junior Athlete Representative by the athletes of Metro Swimming. This is an official position on the Metropolitan Swimming Board of Directors, and Will will have an active voice in decision-making over the next year. He will help voice the perspectives of athletes, and act as a liaison between the swimmers and Board Members.

Yahro was voted in by the house of delegates as the newest member of the Metropolitan Swimming Administrative Review Board. He will serve as the athlete voice when handling administrative matters and creating rules and procedures for the LSC.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

DECLARE YOUR INTENT FOR 2025-2026

Please let us know if your swimmer intends to return for AGUA's 2025-2026 season beginning this fall. We ask that all athletes confirm their intent by Friday, June 6.

The 2025-2026 season begins Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and will run through August 2026.

SUMMER PRACTICE SCHEDULE

All swimmers will remain on their current spring 2025 practice schedule through Sunday, June 29. Beginning Monday, June 30, we will move to the summer 2025 practice schedule.

The final day of swim practice for the 2024-2025 season will be Thursday, August 14, 2025.

REMINDERS

LOCKER ROOM REMINDERS

As we continue the 2024-2025 AGUA season, we want to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:

Locker rooms are shared spaces at both BPC & UES. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted to be taken inside the locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
Only swimmers who are members of Asphalt Green are permitted to use the member locker rooms at Asphalt Green. There are no exceptions.

REQUIRED ID CARDS

All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
