Congratulations to all AGUA athletes on scoring our highest VCC score in program history with 254,210 points for the 2025-2026 short course season! We also earnedfirst place in the country for teams with 350 to 400 swimmersand a top-20 overall finish, ranking 16 out of over 4,000 USA Swimming teams of all sizes.
The USA Swimming Virtual Club Championship program recognizes and highlights clubs that develop athletes and achieve success at multiple levels, emphasizing the team element of club swimming. Teams are evaluated using the USA Swimming power-point system.
We are proud to recognize our swimmers who scored in the VCC this season. Next up: Our 13- and 14-year-olds!
Please join us in welcoming Coach Samuel Golovin to the AGUA Coaching Staff. Samuel will primarily work with our Battery Park City groups and is a lifelong competitive swimmer with over 17 years of experience, beginning his swimming journey at age five.
From 2014 to 2017, Samuel was a member of AGUA, where he built some of the most meaningful relationships of his life and experienced significant personal and athletic growth. His time with the club played a pivotal role in shaping his identity as both an athlete and teammate.
Samuel continued his swimming career at Montclair State University, competing at the collegiate level for two years. He later expanded his experience internationally by representing Team USA in the Maccabi Games, competing in Budapest, Hungary, in 2019, and in Israel in 2021. During these competitions, he earned multiple medals and was part of the record-breaking 4x50 freestyle relay team, setting a United States Maccabi team record.
His experiences both in and out of the pool have prepared him to positively impact the next generation of swimmers, fostering not only athletic development but also respect, accountability, and discipline.
