AGUA NAMED TOP-THREE AGE GROUP TEAM IN THE COUNTRY
Congratulations to our age group team on earning a top finish in ASCA's Top Team recognition program! AGUA finished the short course season third overall for large teams of 350 or more swimmers, and was the highest-placing Metro Team in this category!
All clubs were ranked based on the results of their 10- to 14-year-olds using both the total number of swimmers achieving AAA and AAAA times as well as the percentage of athletes achieving these time standards relative to their club size.
Congratulations to all of the AGUA swimmers who competed in the 2026 Eastern Zone Open Water Championships in Marmora, NJ! We had over 30 swimmers race across all three distances.
The team was led this time around by Bridget Lockwood, who secured a ticket to the 2027 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships by finishing in the top ten (all ages) of the Women's 5K race. Bridget is the first in program history to do so.
Additional highlights include award-winning finishes for Lucy Watts (Girls 2.5K, 8th place) and Mikel Ruiz-Massieu (Boys 1.25K, 5th place). Lucy and Mikel's top-eight finishes (all ages) earned them Eastern Zone Open Water recognition!

SERVICE HOURS NOW FINALIZED
All service hours for the 2025-2026 season are now accounted for on our team website. Please follow the instructions below to check your service hours. If you note any discrepancies, email Coach Isaac by Friday, July 3, 2026.
In the top right corner, hover over your account name and click "My Account".
In the left-side menu, hover over the fourth icon down, then click "Invoices & Payments".
Navigate to the "Service Hours" tab.
Please note that we are happy to correct any errors in service hours. As a reminder, all AGUA families must complete ten service hours per year in accordance with our Family Service policy.
GET INVOLVED: BECOME AN OFFICIAL
AGUA is still looking for more Admin Officials and stroke-and-turn judges! Becoming an official is a great way to get involved in your swimmer's life and sport. You will learn the rules of competitive swimming and how meets work.

REMINDERS
LOCKER ROOM REMINDERS
As we continue the 2025-2026 AGUA season, we want to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:
Locker rooms are shared spaces at both Asphalt Green's Battery Park City and Upper East Side campuses. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability, and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted inside locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
Only swimmers who are Asphalt Green members are permitted to use the member locker rooms at Asphalt Green. There are no exceptions.
REQUIRED ID CARDS
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
