The results were compiled using a dataset provided by USA Swimming’s data scientists of swimmers ages 10-14 with qualifying time standards from the 2025 Long Course season and 2025-26 Short Course season.
Congratulations to our athletes who competed at the 2026 LIAC Summer Fun on Long Island, NY! Our swimmers earned many new cut times for Junior Mets and beyond.
Mikel Ruiz-Massieu led the team with two victories in the 11-12 Boys 100 and 400-meter Freestyles. He also earned runner-up finishes in the 100 Butterfly and 200 IM.

WELCOME, COACH JASPER JURMAN
Please join us in welcoming Coach Jasper Jurman to the AGUA Coaching Staff.
Jasper grew up in New York City, where he learned to swim at Asphalt Green and joined the AGUA swim team when he was 10 years old. After representing Metro Swimming at Eastern Zones and beyond, he later committed to swim at Queens University of Charlotte (NC) where he was a member of three Division II National Championships.
While teaching private lessons during the summers, Jasper grew his passion for coaching. After graduating, he coached the Hampton Dolphins club team from 2021 to 2025, as well as Masters and private lessons. He then co-founded a swim school before returning to NYC. You can find Coach Jasper on deck working with our groups at Battery Park City!

Please plan ahead and bring home your gear bag upon your final practice of the long course season. Any remaining gear or equipment bags may be thrown away or recycled during the Asphalt Green pool shutdown starting Saturday, August 15, 2026.
GET INVOLVED: BECOME AN OFFICIAL
AGUA is still looking for more Admin Officials and stroke-and-turn judges! Becoming an official is a great way to get involved in your swimmer's life and sport. You will learn the rules of competitive swimming and how meets work.

REMINDERS
LOCKER ROOM REMINDERS
As we continue the 2025-2026 AGUA season, we want to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:
Locker rooms are shared spaces at both Asphalt Green's Battery Park City and Upper East Side campuses. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability, and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted inside locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
Only swimmers who are Asphalt Green members are permitted to use the member locker rooms at Asphalt Green. There are no exceptions.
REQUIRED ID CARDS
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
