COMPETITION UPDATES

GREAT WORK AT JUNIOR METS!

Congratulations to our athletes who raced at the 2024 Long Course Junior Metropolitan Championships in Long Island, NY! Our swimmers raced to countless personal best times and new qualifications for upcoming championship meets.

AGUA earned runner-up honors as a team, led by high-point award honors for Milly Birch (13-year-old girls), Bruce Qian (14-year-old boys) and Xan Randolph (13-year-old boys).

Milly was victorious in the 100 and 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke, Bruce took home gold in the 100 and 200 butterfly and 200 IM, and Xan took home top honors in the 100 and 200 backstroke.

Two AGUA Team Records also fell over the weekend in the 13-14 Boys 200 Butterfly (Bruce Qian) and the 13-14 Boys 200 Medley Relay (Will Rankin, Leo Yang, Bruce Qian and Mason Kostov). The team also took home 96 medals, highlighted below.

2024-2025 SEASON UPDATES

Our lead group coaches will communicate group placement and registration details for 15-and-over swimmers this week and next. Please note the registration deadline of Friday, August 16 to avoid late registration fees. The tentative fall practice schedules are now available.

You must register for the upcoming season through your Asphalt Green account. Please be sure to check your password in advance.

In addition, all swimmers must submit their financial information through Asphalt Green’s financial aid software, TADS, as part of the 2024-2025 scholarship application process.

GEAR BAG PICKUP

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 31, training equipment will no longer be used at practices for the remainder of the season. Please bring home your gear bag by Friday, August 9. After this date, gear may be thrown away or recycled during the Asphalt Green pool shutdown.
