COMPETITION UPDATES

GREAT WORK AT SENIOR METS!

Congratulations to our athletes who raced at the 2024 Long Course Senior Metropolitan Championships in Long Island, NY! Our swimmers raced to countless personal best times and new qualifications for USA Swimming Futures and Junior National Championships.

AGUA earned runner-up honors in the women's competition led by Alegra Teixidor-Salerno, who earned gold in the 200-meter breaststroke. The women's team also earned three relay medals in the 400 Medley, 400 Freestyle and 800 Freestyle relays with efforts from Isabella Castano, Emma Feld, Lauren Fishbein, Azana Karim, Carter Roebuck, Delilah Skaistis and Mia Slowik.

The AGUA men's team earned a third-place finish, including individual medal performances from Aiden Rhee (silver - 200 breaststroke), Oliver Shao (silver - 200 backstroke), Jagger Stachtiaris (bronze - 200 IM) and Sebi Vernhes (bronze - 50 freestyle).

The men also took silver in both the 400 Medley and 400 Freestyle Relays courtesy of Satya Agashiwala, David Gutin, Aiden Rhee, Jagger and Sebi. Both efforts were new AGUA Program Records!

2024-2025 SEASON UPDATES

Our lead group coaches will communicate group placement and registration details for 14-and-under swimmers this week, while placements for 15-and-overs will arrive in the coming weeks.

You must register for the upcoming season through your Asphalt Green account. Please be sure to check your password in advance.

In addition, all swimmers must submit their financial information through Asphalt Green’s financial aid software, TADS, as part of the 2024-2025 scholarship application process.

USA SWIMMING SAFE SPORT CLASSES NOW AVAILABLE

USA Swimming Safe Sport staff is hosting Zoom trainings for parents, young athletes, and coaches to assist clubs in completing the Training and Education requirements of the Safe Sport Club Recognition program.

All participants must register in advance to attend training (see below). Alternatively, you can log in as an athlete or as a parent to take the course. We appreciate you for helping us remain a USA Swimming SafeSport recognized club!

Parent Trainings: Wednesday, August 7 at 8pm ET – REGISTER
