GREAT WORK AT RUTGERS INVITE!
Congratulations to our athletes who raced at the Scarlet Invitational at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ! Our swimmers raced in long course meters to kick off 2025 and built great momentum for the team heading into our annual MLK meet this weekend.
Among new championship qualifications, personal best times and heat wins, AGUA swimmers also broke three program records over the weekend:
Alex Argeros: 11 to 12 Boys 200 Backstroke (2:22.82 - Previous record of 2:25.25 set in 2016)
Milly Birch: 13 to 14 Girls 200 Backstroke (2:18.52 - Previous record of 2:18.87 set in 2016)
Bruce Qian: 13 to 14 Boys 200 Butterfly (2:13.68 - Previous record of 2:13.68 set in 2024)
The AGUA coaches also thank Lauren Fishbein, Mayrah Johnson, Mia Jukic and Addie Yang for standing out as R.A.D. teammates over the weekend. These AGUA team members exemplified our team values of respect, accountability and discipline.

NOW REQUIRED: SWIM CAPS WITH UPDATED AGUA LOGO
An updated customized or generic AGUA cap is required for all AGUA competitions in 2025. Please plan accordingly.

Generic AGUA Caps are now available for purchase at the front desk! These caps are not customized. You can purchase at the front desk of the AquaCenter or the front desk of our Battery Park City campus.
As we continue the 2024-2025 AGUA season, we want to take the opportunity to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:
Locker rooms are shared spaces at both BPC & UES. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted to be taken inside the locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
REQUIRED ID CARDS
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
