COMPETITION UPDATES
GREAT WORK AT FUTURES AND SENIOR ZONES!
Congratulations to our athletes who raced at the 2024 Futures Championships in Austin, Texas and the 2024 Long Course Senior Zones Championships in Buffalo, NY! Both meets saw AGUA athletes race to new qualification standards for Sectionals, Futures, and Junior Nationals.
Our Futures team was led by Lauren Fishbein, David Gutin and Oliver Shao. Lauren earned a top-sixteen finish in the 100 breaststroke, while David (200 backstroke) and Oliver (200 backstroke and 1500 freestyle) both came home with the same points total after multiple top-sixteen finishes.

Satya Agashiwala – 200 butterfly
Lauren Fishbein - 100 breaststroke
David Gutin - 200 backstroke
Jonathan Packles - 200 backstroke
Oliver Shao - 200 backstroke and 1500 freestyle
Jagger Stachtiaris - 100 backstroke
Naila Broening-Chai and Artem Safroniuk led our team in points at the 2024 Long Course Senior Zones Championships in Buffalo, NY.
Naila earned a top-eight finish in the 200 breaststroke and a tenth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Artem earned top-eight finishes in the 200 backstroke and 200 IM, as well as a top-sixteen result in the 100 backstroke.
Both Naila and Artem raced on our top-eight finishing 400 Medley Relay Teams. The Women's 200 Freestyle Team of Kate Casciato, Estelle Vernhes, Katy Nizol and Jazzy Foster earned a bronze medal in the event, while Vincent Gookin also took home bronze in the 400 IM.

You must register for the upcoming season through your Asphalt Green account. Please be sure to check your password in advance.
In addition, all swimmers must submit their financial information through Asphalt Green’s financial aid software, TADS, as part of the 2024-2025 scholarship application process.
Please note that we will no longer use training equipment at practices for the remainder of the season. Please bring home your gear bag by Friday, August 9. After this date, gear may be thrown away or recycled during the Asphalt Green pool shutdown.
