USA Swimming, swimming's national governing body, requires each swimmer, coach, and official to renew their annual membership. Each family is responsible for building their account with USA Swimming and processing their swimmer's membership with USA Swimming. This membership is necessary for us to participate in USA Swimming training sessions and competitions.

For Swimmers New to Both USA Swimming and AGUA:

• Use the linked document to learn how to create your family account and register a new swimmer. Focus on building your family account and registering your new swimmers now.
• Please note: if your new swimmer has older siblings who are current USA Swimming members with AGUA, you can log in to your existing family account and register your new swimmer that way.

For Returning USA Swimmers but New to AGUA:

• Use the link below to log into your existing USA Swimming account.
• On your landing page, you can initiate a club transfer to AGUA. We will send out renewal instructions in a few weeks. 
• When you are ready, click this link and follow the prompts. Please use the linked document as your guide.

The deadline for new swimmers to complete their USA Swimming registration is Sunday, September 15, 2024. Swimmers returning to AGUA should look out for communication from Coach John in the coming weeks.

USA Swimming, AGUA's national governing body, requires every family to read and acknowledge the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP).

MAAPP was designed to prioritize the safety of athletes and addresses one-on-one interactions, social media and electronic communications, local and team travel, locker rooms and changing areas, and athletic training modalities.

Acknowledgment by all families is mandatory. Please do so by Monday, September 30, 2024.

SwimOutlet, our new provider for t-shirts, practice equipment, tech suits and more will be on-site for in-person fittings on:

• Tuesday, September 10 (UES campus, 4pm to 7pm)

• Thursday, September 12 (BPC campus, 4pm to 7pm)

The AGUA coaches extend a warm welcome to our new AGUA assistant coach Kristy Nagtzaam. She will be assisting groups in both the senior and age group programs. 

Kristy grew up in the Netherlands, where her passion for swimming began. As a competitive swimmer,  she had the opportunity to assist the youth national coach of the Netherlands while also pursuing her own swimming goals.

She recently graduated with a Master’s in Exercise Science from St. Francis College, where she was a Division 1 swimmer and was the team captain in her senior year. Last year, Kristy volunteered as an assistant coach at Long Island University in Brooklyn and currently works as a Physical Education teacher at The Brearley School.
