AGUA ATHLETES NAMED TO NATIONAL DIVERSITY SELECT CAMP ROSTER
Congratulations to Will Rankin, Bruce Qian and Chloe Yang on being selected for the 2026 USA Swimming National Diversity Select Camp!
Our athletes will travel to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, next month to participate in training sessions and connect with peers and coaches who represent diverse backgrounds. To be selected for the camp, athletes must be top performers in their age group across the country.
These swimmers join a list of distinguished AGUA Swim Team alumni who have attended camps and gone on to qualify for Olympic Trials, win international medals, swim collegiately, and more!
AGUA is still looking for more Admin Officials and stroke-and-turn judges! Becoming an official is a great way to get involved in your swimmer's life and sport. You will learn the rules of competitive swimming and how meets work.
Learn more and reach out to Charles Asch and Ashley Chan with any questions.
JOIN US AT THE TURNING THE TIDE SWIM-A-THON ON MAY 2
Our very own AGUA swimmer, Ali Wright, is again organizing a swim-a-thon in support of Asphalt Green's community water safety and learn-to-swim programs. Last year, she raised $75,000 for our water safety initiatives, and has already raised over $27,000 this year.
This year, Ali is thrilled that her AGUA teammates Mark Silverman and Kate Casciato will help run the event. With your participation, you can join Ali, Mark, and Kate’s cause to expand access to swim instruction.
Ask friends and family to donate to your effort, either through a flat donation or by pledging a certain amount of money per lap you swim. (Donation links and promotional materials will be provided.)
YOU'RE INVITED! ASPHALT GREEN'S ANNUAL GALA ON MAY 28
Join fellow AGUA families at Asphalt Green’s special Gala celebration on Thursday evening, May 28.
When you attend the Gala, you honor a coach, uplift a team, and provide critical funding to advance Asphalt Green’s mission to create pathways to achievement through sports, fitness, and play.
We look forward to bringing our community together at the iconic Central Park Zoo to celebrate the joy of movement at a venue that reminds us where play once began. The sea lions may even show us some impressive strokes at cocktail hour!
As we continue the 2025-2026 AGUA season, we want to remind our athletes of locker room policies and best practices:
Locker rooms are shared spaces at both Asphalt Green's Battery Park City and Upper East Side campuses. All AGUA swimmers should speak and behave in alignment with our team values of respect, accountability and discipline.
There are absolutely no photos or videos permitted inside locker rooms, both on campus and during travel meets.
Swimmers should lock their belongings in a locker during practice.
Only swimmers who are Asphalt Green members are permitted to use the member locker rooms at Asphalt Green. There are no exceptions.
REQUIRED ID CARDS
All swimmers must use their ID cards to access our facilities. Swimmers are not permitted to enter the facilities without their ID cards.
