NYC MARATHON

Please cheer on our AGUA Masters as they run the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. We wish them a safe and fun race, and  look forward to seeing them ease back in the pool!

THANKSGIVING SCHEDULE

Please note that we will NOT have practices at either location on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2024.

However, the pools at both campuses will remain open for lap swim with an adjusted schedule of 9am-1pm.

On Friday November, 29, 2024 our UES 5:30am-7am and 12pm-1pm practices will be LCM. 

TRAINING TIPS

• 300 swim
• 300 IM drill
• 300 pull

Set 1: Two rounds (Set yards: 1300)

• 200 kick 4:00
• 3x100 1:40 swim focus on legs
• 6x25  0:30 free focus on breakouts

Set 2:  2 rounds (Set yards: 2400)

• 4 rounds
  • 50 fast  0:35 + 4x25 easy 0:30
• 100 easy kick 2:30
• 4 rounds
  • 50 fast 0:35 + 2x25 easy 0:30
• 100 easy kick 2:30

UPCOMING MASTERS MEETS

DR. BILL ROSS MEMORIAL MASTERS SWIM MEET

• WHEN: Sunday, November 24, 2024
• WHERE: Nassau County Aquatic Center
• ABOUT:
  • The 800 Freestyle will be the first event.
  • Swimmers may only enter the 800 or 400 Freestyle, not both.
  • It will be seeded from fastest to slowest.
  • It will be limited to three heats cutoff online.
  • There will be a brief warm-up after the 800.
  • Relays will be accepted up until the start of the 800.
  • A new relay event, the 200 Medley, will be added.
