Welcome, AGUA Masters swimmers, to 2026! We're here to help with your New Years resolutions. 

MLK WEEKEND

 

Due to AGUA's swim meet at the Upper East Side pool, please find our adjusted practice schedule. Please note, the below is for the Upper East Side practices only. Practices at Battery Park City will remain as is.

 

Saturday, January 17

  • 6am-8am — 8x25yd lanes

Sunday, January 18

  • 6am-8am — 8x25 yd lanes

Monday, January 19

  • 5:30am-7am —8x25yd lanes
  • 12pm-1pm — 4x25yd lanes in shallow end
  • 7:30pm-8:30pm — 4x25yd lanes in shallow end

SWIM WORKOUT

 

Please note that these intervals are for short course yards, but feel free to adjust as necessary. Refer to the following USMS Pace Chart for interval adjustments.

 

Warm Up (Set yards: 800)

  • 400 swim
  • 200 kick
  • 200 IM drill

Set One: Two rounds (Set yards: 1500)

  • 6x25 kick without fins 0:30
  • 6x50 0:55
    • odds-free
    • evens-IMO kick/swim
  • 3x100 1:45
    • free/IM/free

Main set: One round (Set yards: 1800)

  • 6x100 free swim 1:45
  • 4x50 IMO swim 0:50
  • 4x100 free swim 1:40
  • 4x50 IMO swim 0:50
  • 2x100 free swim 1:35
  • 4x50 IMO swim 0:50
