WINTER HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Asphalt Green's campuses will operate on modified hours on the below days. Please review the New Year's week schedule, and see you in 2025!

 

UES Campus Operating Hours:

  • December 31: 8am-4pm (50 LCM)
  • January 1: 11am-5pm (50 LCM)

BPC Campus Operating Hours:

  • December 31: 8am-4pm

HOLIDAY WORKOUTS 2024

DRYLANDS

 

Thanks to your feedback, we're introducing some pre-practice activation drylands for the team. We're testing out times to begin, so please find our dryland dates below. Please make sure to wear comfortable workout clothes and sneakers to dryland workouts. All are welcome to join!

  • Dynamic stretching will constitute low impact stretching and a few beginner strength exercises.
  • Advanced dryland will constitute strength and plyometric exercises.

 

Battery Park City:

  • Dynamic stretching: Tuesday, January 7 from 11:15am-11:50am in Classroom B
  • Advanced dryland: Tuesday, January 14 from 11:15am-11:50am in Classroom B

Upper East Side:

  • Dynamic stretching: Monday, January 6 from 11:15am-11:50am on 3rd floor of the AquaCenter
  • Dynamic stretching: Sunday, January 12 from 6:15am-6:50am on 3rd floor of the AquaCenter

(AKA Harvard)

    • March 21-23 (main weekend):
  • Where: New England LMSC SCY Championship “Harvard Meet” (Blodgett Pool, Boston, MA).
  • Who: 700+ swimmers.

USMS SCY SPRING NATIONALS

  • When: April 24-27, 2025
  • Where: San Antonio, TX

    SWIM WORKOUT

     

    Please note that these intervals are for short course yards, but feel free to adjust as necessary. Refer to the following USMS Pace Chart for interval adjustments.

     

    Warm up: (Set yards: 1000)

    • 10x100 1:50 swim/kick/pull by 100's

    Set 1: one round(Set yards: 5000)

    • 10x100 1:45
    • 10x100 pull 1:30
    • 10x100 every 3rd 100 is kick 1:50
    • 10x100 swim des 1-5, 6-10 1:40
    • 10x100 pull 1:25

    Set 2:  One round  (Set yards: 4000)

    • 10x100 odd IM, even easy free 1:45
    • 10x100 every other 100 is kick 1:50
    • 10x100 swim smooth 1:35
    • 10x100 add 0:05 every 2 to cool down starting at 1:50
