TRANSCENDING BOUNDARIES AND BUILDING COMMUNITY
At Roberto Clemente State Park, Asphalt Green's youth Community Soccer League is building pathways for young soccer players, and inspiring their parents to try the sport for themselves.
Last month, we welcomed Mark Negodiuk, a 3 year-old swimmer, Ukranian refugee, and brain cancer survivor to our Super Sprites swim class. Afterward, Mark's father Dima spoke with us about their incredible journey and new life in NYC.
With U.S. Olympic success and unprecedented media coverage, volleyball is now one of the most popular girls' sports. Experts say the sport's energy and camaraderie make volleyball particularly appealing.
With an emphasis on the mind-body connection, Pilates is one of the most holistic and popular forms of exercise you can choose from. Learn how you can get started with Pilates in our Beginner's Guide.
Long-term goals like running a marathon are noble pursuits, but separating your goals into smaller benchmarks can keep you consistent and motivated. See our tips for setting seasonal goals this fall!
Last month we hosted NYC's Healthy Aging Fair alongside the NYC Department for the Aging, showing how our fitness offerings can help older adults find community and continue to live active lives.
You may know Asphalt Green from our Upper East Side and Battery Park City campuses, but we run school swim, and community programming in over half of New York City's council districts. See our program map to find out how close we are to you!
Teaching your baby to swim can support your baby's physical and cognitive development, help you form a stronger bond, and set them up for a lifetime of safe and happy swimming. Check out our E-book for 7 reasons why babies should learn to swim.
