As we settle into 2026, we’re excited to share what’s ahead for Asphalt Green Basketball this spring — including upcoming programs, team highlights, and ways to keep your athlete moving, growing, and connected to the game.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & HIGHLIGHTS

• Help Asphalt Green celebrate our outstanding female athletes during our Get Girls in the Game Campaign. Learn more.
• Congratulations to our girls program with a unbelievably impressive 12-5 overall record in the Synergy League. The 8th grade National Girls are currently undefeated during league play.
  
• Asphalt Green's 6th grade National and 10th grade Boys are sitting in first place in the Live City league at RiverBank state park. 
• Registration is open for our free basketball programs at The Cooke School and Roberto Clemente State Park! Sign up today.
• Did you know? Asphalt Green is currently providing free and/or reduced-fee basketball programming to 500+ youth athletes throughout NYC!

• Pathway opportunities:

  • Did you know that 1 in every 3 members of our AAU program started in one of our Foundations classes or Recreational leagues?

  • AG Basketball is excited to have added a fifth player to our AAU team, coming to us from our community basketball programs!

Spring is the time to stay connected to the court — sharpening skills, building confidence, and turning hard work into real game growth.

• Toddlers Basketball (Ages 3-4): Introduces little ones to basketball through fun games led by Asphalt Green's REP coaches that build comfort learning alongside other kids while developing early movement skills. 

• Basketball Foundations (Ages 5-10): Perfect for kids who want to develop fundamental basketball skills and an understanding of the sport.

• Youth Basketball League (Ages 7-13): Introduces kids and teens to a pre-competitive team environment through gameplay.

LOOKING AHEAD

• February 7 and 8 // Our 6th grade Boys and 8th grade Boys National teams are attending session 3 of Hoop Group NXT GEN  in Maryland.
• February 11 // Be on the lookout for our official Spring Circuit schedule announcement via our Instagram page @agbasketballnyc.
• February 14 // The 7th and 8th grade Girls teams will begin league play at The Program Cup with some of the most nationally recognizable girls programs!
• March 1 // Playoffs will begin for our Boys Regional teams in the 55 Swish League.
• March 7 // The start of Asphalt Green's spring program season. 
• March 16 // Spring 2026 AAU tryouts begin. Keep an eye on our tryouts page for dates, times, and the sign up form.
